Now that the demo is out, it wouldn’t do to have a demo that’s actually a later version than the full game, would it? So we’re now releasing the 0.18.4 patch.
This patch is a small revision to the game, mainly focusing on porting KSP to the much more awesome Unity4 engine. It also has several bug fixes, and a new stock spaceplane, the Ravenspear Mk4.
Since our new patcher isn’t ready yet, we’re releasing this one as a full download from our Store.
We’re not using the old patcher anymore, so don’t try to get this patch using it (not a challenge. you’d probably just get an error, or worse, break your install).
This patch shouldn’t break compatiblity. Saves and vessels from 0.18.2 should all be compatible with this build (No guarantee on saves from earlier versions than that though).

Happy valentines day from all of us at Squad! Thanks for being our friends for these last few years! We look forward to many more!
A new Demo? Yeah! You heard right! Better than ever!
This new demo is based on KSP 0.18.2, so it has all the newer systems, with several restrictions, of course. Here are the main differences:
* Part loading limited to the 25 stock ones.
* No Plugin loading.
* SPH and Runway Facilities are unnaccessible.
* Only one save profile allowed.
* Cannot launch new flights if 3 or more are already in progress.
* Kerbin, the Mun and the Sun are the only celestial bodies in the solar system.
Don Pettit, a NASA Astronaut shot some amazing photo’s from the ISS During 2012 and thanks to Laughing Squid’s article, we all get a chance to see them and bask in their beauty.
These are some amazing images, we hope you like them as much as we do.
Note: The above image is taken from the article.
Win a chance at Space with Kerbal Space Program!
Happy Holidays from Team KSP!

Stay safe, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays!
Hello, I’m Anthony Keeton aka (Damion Rayne) and I’ve been into Space, Science, and Technology for many many years. I started playing Kerbal Space Program in version 0.9 and joined the forums as a Volunteer Moderator around version 0.10 a year ago. This last year I’ve made friends with the dev team and helped in many areas and tried my best to give to the community. I’m now on the team an loving every minute of it, it’s an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up. After five years in the military and multiple job changes over the last few years, I’m working for a company and a project or product that I believe in. KSP has grown so much over the last year, and I can’t wait to see where we go next.
What better way to close our KerbalKon event than to announce that our new release is now available for download. This particular release is a very important milestone in KSP development, as it marks the completion of the Sandbox.
The most notable features for this release include:
Connecting vessels together is now possible! Build space stations, surface bases, or assemble huge spacecraft in orbit.
* Flight Planning
Getting to other planets and moons just got a lot simpler. Place maneuvers along your orbit to create a flight plan, and then just follow the guidance cues. No need to figure out angles or hold a protractor to the screen!
* Action Groups
A new way to control your ships! Instead of having everything done through staging, you can assign parts to groups that are controlled with a keypress. Set up Abort systems, or rig up complex contraptions. Or just let the game handle it automatically.
* New Resources System
Watching fuel drain has never been so much fun! New resources allow for completely new possibilities. Energy, Fuel, Oxidizer and other resources now flow through your ship. Manage them as you fly, and pump them across parts.
KSP now has its own soundtrack, featuring many cool tracks, from smooth jazzy tunes to build ships by, to wondrous spacy themes as you explore the solar system.
* Performance Tweaks
New terrain optimizations and a system to prevent lag by slowing the simulation make for a significant improvement in performance.
So what are you waiting for? You can download the game now if you already purchase it or you can order it if you haven’t. https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kspstore/
We also just released a very cute app that lets you customize your own Kerbal, it’s called Kerbalizer. There two versions one is free and lets you add hairstyles, facial details and clothes to a static Kerbal; the other one lets you change the color of most garments and hair, change the background to a constantly moving Kerbal that you can also pose, and the best is the price, only $2. Check it out! https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kspstore/kerbalizer.php
And finally we are proud to present the new official Add-ons repository, Kerbal SpacePort, there you can share your creations with other users and download add-ons for the game. http://kerbalspaceport.com
